Sudhir Nayak, at the age of 28, is recognized all over India as one of the competent accompanists on the harmonium. He is a disciple of Pandit Tulsidas Borkar, a well known harmonium player and a revered teacher. He also received valuable guidance from the late Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki.

For the past ten years or so Sudhir has accompanied many top ranked vocalists such as Bhimsen Joshi, Jasraj, Malini Rajurkar, Kishori Amonkar, Prabha Atre, Parveen Sultana, Jitendra Abhisheki, Rashid Khan, Shobha Gurtu, Prabhakar Karekar, Gangubai Hangal, Veena Sahasrabuddhe, Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar, Shruti Sadolikar and many others.

With many of these artistes Sudhir has been on concert tours of Europe, U.S.A., Canada and Australia.
